Keys to Healthy Living, Longevity and Weight Loss for Baby Boomers
Stress! Lack of Physical Exercise! Un Healthy Eating! Lack of Fresh Air, Sunshine and / or Adequate Sleep!
These are all factors that our jobs may contribute to our being over weight as a society and even the shortening of our lifespan. This may sound dramatic, but dying too soon is dramatic for us baby boomers!
Exploring our lifestyles many baby boomers spend much of the day at work. To live a healthy life and increase our longevity we need to make a few minor changes in our lives, especially at our workplace.
First, we need to reduce stress and increase our physical exercise. They go hand in hand. One way to do this is to make sure we get up and get away from our desks and offices during the day. Get out during lunch and even take a short brisk walk. This can clear our minds and Relieve Stress. Actually, this small change not only reduces stress and increases our physical exercise, it also improves our circulation which improves the complete functioning of our bodies. We get more physical exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. All these are important factors of increasing our longevity and losing weight. Research has shown that the people who live the longest are those that get fresh air, sunshine and work with their hands versus there minds. We all do not have those choices but we can improve our lifestyle by incorporating this small change.
Secondly, we need to actively plan our meals. We should not let our day, our jobs, or even our finances dictate how we eat. In our careers we plan to be successful. We prepare and we execute our business plan. Let us also plan and execute our “Life Plan”. So we are not blown to and fro by any wind of the day. Most people do not plan their meals and make up their minds at the last minute what they will eat and drink that day. This is not only detrimental but DEADLY! It is our life at stake! We are playing for keeps. If you fail to plan, in essence, WE Plan to Fail.
Plan your meals! Eat healthy! Drink plenty of water! You will succeed with a healthy life and weight loss if you plan your meals and execute your plan, for it is a way of LIFE.
Finally, consider sleep. As we plan our days, especially our work day, adding physical exercise, fresh air, sunshine, healthy living and balanced eating. This will all reduce stress and help us sleep better. These are all as important as your “weight loss plan”, “diet”, “potions and lotions” and “exercise routines” to help you lose weight and live longer.
