Fasting and Prayer

As we enter this season I began to ask myself what could I do as the leader of my bible study class to bring us closer to God. Quickly God put “Fasting and Prayer” into my spirit. So I am led to an 8 week class that will include a 7 week fast. During this class my goal is to teach the principles surrounding fasting and prayer as well as some associated components of your fasting and prayer.
What I am not led to do is to dictate or even suggest a certain way to fast. Your fast is between you and God. It should be a sufficient sacrifice to bring you closer to God. Accordingly you should deny your body and focus on the spiritual. The focus is your relationship with God, as apposed to satisfying our self needs.

FANTASTIC!
Hi Louis,
Great that you are making people aware of the benefit of drinking tea, and I am with you on God’s part in it…..our creator has given us so many natural foods, herbs, and spices to heal our bodies and keep them healthy.
My concern as a nurse and certified holistic practitioner and nutritional specialist is that people may consume too much of this as substitute for good nutrition and a safe, moderate exercise plan. Wu Yi and Oolong teas have astringent properties that can cause dehydration in large quantities, and although the caffeine content is lower than coffee, too much is draining on the adrenal glands.
