Healthy Weight Loss Program.

Breakfast is essential for a healthy weight loss program. To meet your weight loss goals you must break fast every morning with a healthy breakfast to help your energy, stimulate your mind, excite your metabolism and just get you going on the right foot to start your day. Here are four quick healthy breakfast recipes to help you start the day off right.

Oatmeal.

This very simple 5 minute meal is great for nutrition and helps lower cholesterol. Oatmeal is a whole grain that is good for you and when prepare properly gives you a complete breakfast. First of all choose old fashion or quick but avoid instant if you can. Instant oatmeal is a processed food with preservatives and additives not found in the old fashion or quick versions. I use the one serving size; which is 1/2 cup of oatmeal to one cup of water. If you choose to add salt use sea salt. Follow the simple directions on the box to cook on the stove top or microwave (they are equally healthy). When you serve use butter sparingly and do not add sugar. I add raisins and fresh fruit. You can choose blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, apples or peaches. Any sweet fruit to your taste. The try a few walnuts, pecans or almonds. This variety allows me to eat oatmeal 2 to 3 times a week. some people eat it every day, but i like variety.

Bowl of Fruit.

Fruit is full of energy, fiber and some protein. One quick, delicious and nutritious breakfast is to add a variety of fresh fruit cut up in a bowl and serve like cold cereal with or without low fat milk. Berries are particularly healthy full of antioxidants and they give you a good energy boosts. Blueberries, Strawberries and raspberries are my favorite. any fruit will do. My breakfast fruit bowls literally consist of whatever fruit I have at the time, which is almost always berries, citrus fruits, melons, bananas and apples of course. So you see there is lots of variety there and any fruit you use is right.

Vegetarian Omelet or Scramble.

Like a fruit bowl my omelets are a concoction of whatever fruit I have available. My staples are onions (all types); red green and yellow peppers; chopped fresh garlic cloves, broccoli, cauliflower and spinach or other dark leafy vegetable. Women should not eat more than one egg a week and men ca have two. So that means a one egg omelet for women and two egg omelet for men. You can add a little low fat milk if need be. I chop my fresh vegetables of the day and put them in the warm skillet which has been heated with a tablespoon or two of olive oil. I quickly add my scrambled eggs that have been seasoned with Mrs. Dash Salt Free Seasonings. I especially like the spicy variety. otherwise I just add cayenne pepper. I also like a little jalapeno peppers and almost always tomatoes. As mentioned earlier, whatever vegetables are available. Top your omelet off with a little shredded cheese if you choose along with salsa. In five to ten minutes you have a great nutritious breakfast.

Meal Replacement Shake.

I promised four complete healthy nutritious breakfast recipes and one of my favorites is the Advocare Meal Replacement Shakes.  Simply blend one package with 9 ounces of water and you have a complete meal that provides a complete nourishing meal in 2 minutes. I love fruit and I add fruit to the shake. Frozen fruit is nearly as nutritious as fresh and quite often is cheaper, especially in the off season. Three to five minutes and you have prepared and consumed one of the healthiest nutritious breakfast you can have.

Healthy Breakfast.

Four healthy breakfast recipes for your healthy weight loss program that all take less than 15 minutes to prepare. There is no reason to skip the most important meal of the day. All you need to do is to be prepared and add lots of fresh fruit and vegetables to your shopping list. Get Oatmeal and Advocare Meal Replacement Shakes and breakfast is complete.

Be Blessed. Be a Blessing. Yes You Can Lose Weight.

The Silent Killer.

Some people say that high blood pressure is the silent killer. And it is. High blood pressure is a leading cause of death by heart disease. Heart disease is by far the leading cause of all deaths in America. But what causes High blood pressure? You can avoid heart disease.

The number of people developing diabetes is growing faster than any other disease in history. There are 80,000,000 (80 million) Americans that are borderline diabetic. This disease is in the the third or fourth leading cause of death in America and it may soon overtake those ahead of it. You can avoid diabetes.

Cancer, the big “C”, is number two when it comes to death by disease. It is the most feared disease because of it literally eats away your body. You can avoid cancer.

But these diseases and many others have something in common, Sugar and Obesity. Avoid them to live a healthy lifestyle.

Eat a Healthy Diet.

Over 6 million Americans can soon develop type 2 diabetes without knowing it. Millions have hypertension without knowing it. While cancer can eat away your insides for years before you are aware. But there is a simple prevention and even cure for all of these. Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. Avoid the whites. White sugar, white flour, white bread, white rice, etc. These all convert to sugar instantly in our bodies providing no nutritional value and ending up as excess fat. They all work against your body causing you to gain weight,  tear down your immune system, reducing the numbers of white blood cells and making you susceptible to a multitude of diseases include heart disease, hypertension, cancer and diabetes. The average person eats over 150 pounds of sugar annually. Sometimes knowingly but quite often without knowing what we are doing. Most people do not know how much sugar is in processed foods, nor do they know the effects. If a person drinks 1 can of soda a daily they are 83% more likely to develop type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is developed because you eat poorly and do not exercise. That same 12 ounce cane of soda has the equivalent of 10 spoons of sugar in it.

Exercise Regularly.

Other than eating a healthy diet avoiding sugar we need to exercise everyday. Both cardio exercise and strength training are necessary. Aerobic training helps strengthen your heart while strength training builds muscle helping you to burn fat. The more excess fat you have the more you are likely to develop the deadly diseases. Excess belly fat causes your body to stop producing insulin and therefore makes you diabetic. Type 2 diabetes is 100% avoidable, preventable and curable by a healthy diet and regular exercise. The risks of heart disease and cancer are greatly reduced as well. But as long as you continue to eat the excess sugar and refuse to exercise you are killing yourself.

Live a Healthy Lifestyle.

We all can live longer disease free lives by eating right and exercising regularly. Follow these additional tips to live a healthy lifestyle.

  1. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and beans. Limit your meat, sugar, sodium and food additives.
  2. Drink Plenty of Water. 60 ounces a day, more if you are overweight or physically active.
  3. Get lots of fresh air and sunshine.
  4. Get 8 hours of sleep each night.
  5. Cleanse your entire body regularly, once every 90 days.
  6. Do cardio exercise everyday.
