Healthy Weight Loss Program: Quick Tips #1 – Have a Ball

Healthy Weight Loss Program.

Many times we want to lose weight and we have a problem choosing a program that works for us. Losing weight is important to me but my health is more important. In a series of quick tips I will introduce ideas to help us in our quest to lose weight and keep it off in a safe, effective and healthy way. These quick weight loss tips will be short,  healthy eating, fitness, nutritional vitamin supplements or general health and wellness tidbits to help meet your goals.

Quick Tip #1 – Have a Ball.

This idea came from Scott Tousignant and is posted on his blog under his 30 day home office challenge. Scott is one of the people I follow because I like his Fat Loss Quickie Program. Today’s Quick Weight Loss Tip is to get a stability ball (fitness ball). I have been a big fan of stability balls for years and it is a great way to strengthen your mid section and work off a few pounds there. The unique tip I got from Scott is to use the ball as a chair at your home office desk. For me, I spend a lot of time at my home office desk and this will help me greatly.

The Stability Ball.

The Fitness Ball helps my improve and strengthen my posture, strengthens my core muscles, and adds a little excitement to my day as I bounce and swivel around while I work or talk to customers. Try moving from side to side or from front to back while working and see that this extra activity doesn’t engage and help build up your abdominal, lower back and oblique muscles. This is your core area where the excess fat that we want to lose is often stored. You can order your stability ball here or go to any store with a small fitness equipment section and get one. They run about $15 to $20 and it well be money well spent to help you lose weight and keep it off.

Resistance Training.

As a quick tip bonus I keep a couple of dumbbells near my desk. Once or twice a day I will take 5 to 10 minutes to do a few resistance exercises with the dumbbells. To note; as part of your program resistance exercise is the most important way to burn off fat and keep it off. So beyond our daily exercise routine we need to develop little habits that will help us increase our resistance training and build muscle to burn fat, lose weight and improve our overall health.

Finally.

Use your fitness ball any where and any way in your home that you will use a chair. Watch television, read a book, talk on the phone or whatever. Not only do I use my stability ball as a chair to help strengthen my core muscles, I also use it to exercise with. There are many abdominal exercises, like crunches, sit ups and back stretches that I use my stability ball for. But I also use it as a weight lifting bench. Many exercises that we can use a bench or a chair for, the fitness ball will help us engage our mid sections and build those muscles, burn that fat and help us lose weight. The stability ball is an essential part of your healthy program.

Advocare Weight Loss Program: Meal Replacement Shake

Advocare Meal Replacement Shake

Weight Loss Program

An essential part of a successful weight loss program is that you eat to lose weight. Advocare Meal Replacement Shake helps you accomplish that goal. We all need to eat 5 to 6 meals a day. Starting with breakfast and every 2 to 3 hours after that. Small meals eaten 2 to 3 hours apart keeps our bodies energized and our metabolism high without us feeling bloated or being stuffed because we overate at any one meal. We should eat breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and an evening snack.  A meal is the time we nourish our bodies with the necessary vitamins, minerals and nutrients we need to function properly. If we keep that in mind and realize that we eat for purpose. Then blindly putting food into our system that has no nutritional purpose and may even harm us will not be the bad habit we may have today.

Advocare Meal Replacement Shake

Comes in pouches and is a powder that you mix with water to provide a complete nutritional meal if you are on the go and do not have time to prepare a good meal. You get about 5 to 6 grams of fiber, 24 grams of protein and 26 vitamins and minerals with only 220 calories. That is about the same amount of calories in one and a half servings of a creamy salad dressing. The key is that you are naturally energizing your body without adding unnecessary calories. The key ingredients include protein, fiber, iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, zinc, Vitamin A, potassium, riboflavin, vitamin C and B-12.

How I use it

Generally I have a meal replacement shake in the morning. I add strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and or a banana into the blender and mix a package with 8 to 9 ounces of water and I have a very nutritious breakfast. In essence the meal replacement shake is like a multivitamin with fiber and protein that will provide you a complete meal without all the calories. But the meal replacement shake is an essential part of my 4 step Advocare Weight Loss Program. The 4 steps are Advocare Herbal Cleanse, Advocare Spark Energy Drink, Advocare Meal Replacement Shake, and Advocare MNS Metabolic Nutrition System. These 4 products taken properly will help you lose weight as you get the vitamins and minerals you need for optimum health.
