Weight Loss Program

No matter your fitness level walking is one of the best things you can do for your weight loss program. A successful weight loss program has the key elements of a healthy diet plan, regular physical exercise and effective nutritional vitamin supplements like Advocare weight loss to help jump start and maintain your ideal weight. Not only walking an excellent exercise for weight loss, walking will help you prevent and reduce the risks of you having many diseases. It is never too late for you to start a walking program to improve your health.

Walking for Weight Loss

In general we need to be more active in our lives. Walking is the easiest way and least expensive exercise option available to us. If you are a baby boomer or senior and or you are just not in shape, start your weight loss program by walking 20 to 30 minutes a day at a pace that is slightly uncomfortable to you. Walking will increase your metabolism and energy which are both important to burn fat and lose weight. Sure a healthy diet plan is important to weight loss. You must burn more fat than you consume to lose weight. Walking will help you do that. There are countless testimonies of people who lose weight simply by changing their eating habits and walking everyday.

As you reach a certain fitness level you want to increase your walking intensity to lose more weight and improve your health. After a week or two you will be able to increase your speed and or even go longer. In any case you should increase your intensity in your walking weight loss plan.

Walking for Health

If we use the Maasai Tribe in Africa as an example we will learn the benefits of walking and heart disease. Their diet is basically meat and milk from the cattle they herd. Their diets are very high fat. A diet of similar fat content for the average American would make heart disease inevitable. As they were studied and autopsies done upon their death it was learned that their diets caused considerable damage to their heart and blood vessels. Yet heart disease, cancer and diabetes are unheard of among them. The simple reason is that they walk 10 to 20 miles a day. Now I know there are not many of us who can add 10 to 20 miles of daily walking  to our lifestyle. But if we eat a healthy diet and walk 1 to 3 miles a day while adding resistance exercise to our weight loss program we will decrease our risk of many diseases as well. We can reduce the risk of every major disease by adding a brisk walk to our daily lives.

Walk for Life

I recently read a cartoon caption that had the patient saying to the doctor, “I can not add one hour of walking to my busy schedule each day.” The doctor replied, “maybe you can fit being dead 24 hours a day into your schedule. The choice is yours.”

The choice is ours. Whether we add walking to our weight loss program for weight loss or for health, we must get in shape and eat a healthy diet plan. If we can not get all of the vitamins, minerals and nutrients we need out of our diet we should consider a natural nutritional supplement like Advocare weight loss to jump start our plan. We can live healthy happy lives by the choices we make.

Be Blessed. Be a Blessing. Yes You Can Loose Weight!

Fitness Challenge November

My goal in this November fitness challenge is to walk / jog 60 miles in November. This equates to about 2 miles a day. So to make my goal work for me I need to breek it into weekly goals. That would be 14 miles this week. If you are like me each day you can not do the same exact thing. Therefore, I will focus on three big days a week. Yesterday was such a day. I did 3 miles on my treadmill, burned 1100 calories and walked 1.25 miles to work. Total of 4.25 miles for day 2. If you are following me or participating in the facebook fitness challenge make sure you journal your daily activity.

Day 2.

Day 2 was a big day as I was motivated and focused. As I bask in the accomplishment of day 2, I know that there will be days that I struggle. I have learned to celebrate my small triumphs and not to beat myself up when I do not achieve all I set out to. But, I am like everyone else. I need encouragment, even from myself. I need wins. So I look to day2 to help me make day 3 a success.

Healthy Weight Loss Program.

As a daily reminder, the fitness challenge is about cardio. The total healthy weight loss program includes resistence training, a healthy diet, and nutritional vitamin supplements. Day 2 also started with a Meal Replacement Shake, my daily Acai supplement and Advocare Spark Energy Drink.  For resistance training I do push ups on my off day, which was yesterday. Therefore, I only did 3 sets of 20 push ups twice. See you tomorrow.

Be Blessed. Be a Blessing.

Coach Louis.
